Design Components
This trapeze features ultra comfortable padded straps instead of ropes (approximately 4-5cm wide), making it a very luxurious trapeze to work on. The padded straps are standard 2.5m lengths but you can customize the straps to suit your ceiling height (the trapeze can be made shorter than 2.5m but not longer than 2.5m). It comes ready to use with 2x 10mm delta maillons sewn into place. The high-quality cotton sheath exterior is supported by an inner core of nylon webbing. The padded filler is a soft, elastic interlock fabric. The exterior cotton webbing is available in any of the standard colours (cream, black, red, blue and navy) and can be dyed in a variety of ways (see below) to express your creativity and individuality!
The webbing is hand-dyed and the result can vary in colour and consistency. The colour onscreen may be somewhat different to what you receive due to the fabric dyeing process. Please scroll down for more information on colourization.
The trapeze bar is made of steel to AS3990:1993 Mechanical Equipment – Steelwork. It has been designed by our professional engineers and manufactured by professional welders to AS/NZS 1554.1. It is a unique design created to ensure minimal wear on rope-to-bar connection of the trapeze.
The working space on the bar (between the eyes) is 56cm. The bar itself is 25mm thick mild steel, the perfect size for your grip and comfortable for toe hangs, heel hangs, and back balances. Due to the professional finish on the bar, there can be no customization to the bar’s size.
There is a dance trapeze option available. Same size between the eyes but with pegs on the outside of the eyes for hands. This adds an extra $35 to the cost of your trapeze. Please email us directly to organise that customization. Due to the professional finish on the bar, other customizations are not possible.
These bars come standard with padding (matched to the padded straps colour) at the base of the ropes and taped, ready for use.
Please Note:
- Due to the complicated manufacture process, there could be a variance of up to 0.5cm between the two rope lengths in the final product.
- With this padded straps trapeze, there is up to a 20cm discrepancy between the rope lengths when under load (in use) and not under load. The rope length listed here (2.5m) is the “under load/in use” measurement. This discrepancy will reduce with regular use.

Standard Colours
Standard colours are cream, black, blue, navy and red.
Custom Colours
We can also dye the cotton webbing of your straps trapeze to different hues of your choosing. We have an in-house dyeing service and an outsourced professional service, please see here for details. Custom colour orders can take at least 14 days to process. Please ensure that you place your order with this timeframe in consideration. Custom colourations are generally extremely successful. However, while our dyers do their best to match the hue of your choice, an exact shade match cannot be guaranteed. Also, the colouration may fade over time. It is very important to keep the coloration out of direct sunlight and free from moisture.
