From 1 October 2026, the Australian government has made on-charging credit card, Afterpay and PayPal fees illegal.
Sadly this means Trix Circus will no longer offer Afterpay as a payment gateway. Afterpay fees for the seller are 6.5%. This is far greater than all other means of payment. As we are a small manufacturing business employing local trained staff, we cannot absorb this high charge rate.
PayPal pay in 4 is still available for use and operates in very much the same manner. We recommend it for any customers wanting a PayLater option.
