Design Components
RINGS:
The rings are made from solid 22mm stainless steel bar. The size of the rings are 25cm (inside diameter). They are NATA destruction tested (batch tested) and attached to our aerial stirrup straps.
STRAPS:
The straps component is made from highest quality tubular webbing. The cotton fabric straps are all reinforced with polyester webbing to add strength and safety. They have 2 x 10mm delta maillons sewn into place at the top of each strap for safe and efficient rigging.
We use both the results derived from the engineer certification and the NATA destruction tests to create the ratings for the ring component, always being cautious with our recommendations. The ratings below are from a theoretical analysis and do not account for the work hardening processes (EN1993-1-4 Annex B). NATA destruction testing has proven the rings yield a higher MBS (minimum breaking strain) due to these work hardening processes.
The NATA destruction-tested only rings meet and exceed the requirements stated in Live Performance Australia Guidelines: Safety Guidelines for the Live Entertainment and Events Industries: Event Rigging Hazard Guide (Feb 2018, p. 16).
