Design Components
The Omni-Block SwivaBina combines a swiveling carabiner and pulley into one tool, and incorporates a unique sideplate that opens while the pulley is still attached to the anchor.
Traditionally, a pulley is connected to a swivel by a carabiner and then to the anchor with another carabiner. However, this Omni eliminates the need for the swivel and carabiners reducing length and pieces of equipment in the rigging system. The minimal length of the Omni is important when used in limited space rigging situations. The Omni is light in weight as well as length, making rigging and travelling with it a dream. Unlike traditional pulleys, the Omni sideplate can be opened and the user can change out the rope without detaching the Omni from the anchor.
The swivel action of the Omni works smoothly under load.
